Early Bird Savings Club
The Early Bird Savings Club is designed to teach children the importance of developing money management skills at an early age. Children will learn the benefits of saving, earning dividends on their funds, and having the opportunity to “earn” rewards as they set and reach their savings goals. This program is available to children 0-12 years old. All they need is $5.00 to open the account and then they can start depositing into the Early Bird savings account! As children save, they earn Birdie Bucks. Here’s how Birdie Bucks work:
- $1.00 Birdie Buck for every $5.00 deposited
- $5.00 Birdie Bucks for each report card presented
- $1.00 Birdie Buck for each school award presented (i.e. attendance, reading goals, sports, etc.)
SmarTeen Program
Port City FCU values an ongoing relationship with its youth members. Our SmarTeen program is designed to assist teens on the road to financial responsibility. Special “perks” of being a part of the SmarTeen program include:
- Checking Account/Debit Cards with no minimum balances or monthly service charges
- Share Certificates
- Youth Loans
- School Grade Rewards (Based on GPA, 4.0-3.5=$10.00, 3.4-2.5=$5.00)
- Four $500.00 Scholarships given on an annual basis
- $5.00 Gift Cards for your Birthday!
